Ever since my hike to Mørkgonga ("The Dark Hallway") in March I have been eager to get back. At this time of the year the snow is melted and the trees sprout with fresh leaves. I also wanted to walk further up to reach a top called Gyrihaugen, located 682 m.a.s.l.
I arrived at 7:30AM and like last time I parked the car and walked up Skardveien. It drizzle so I hurry along in hopes of getting me some morning fog further up.
After about one hour walk I reached Mørkgonga and luckily it also had stopped raining.
The trip continued in easy rolling terrain and I reached the pond called Migartjern. There I sat down for a short rest, listening to the birds and ate my packed lunch.
I continued north along the pond to the trail split in two. From there it was a steep climb to the top but I was motivated by the expected view.
